SHAURYA SANKALAN
Project SHAURYA SANKALAN is an Indian Army initiative, executed in collaboratiowith
the United Service Institution of India (USI-CMHCS), to digitally preserve and archive its history.
The project includes a digital archive and interactive kiosks at the Army War College, Mhow, and USI-CMHCS, New Delhi.
The initiative has already digitized nearly 700 hours of audio-visual content and over 1.1 million pages of declassified records related to major historical events such as:
- 1948 Jammu and Kashmir conflict
- 1961 Goa Liberation (Operation Vijay)
- India-Pakistan Wars of 1965 and 1971
Shaurya Sankalan collects materials from over 1,300 army units, formations, regimental centers, and military museums The goal is to make these archives accessible to researchers, academicians, and military historians, ensuring the rich heritage of the Indian Army is preserved for future generations.
